Michael Calyniuk is an experienced professional accountant, senior executive, independent corporate director, and advisor to public and private companies. Michael served for 24 years as a Partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (“PwC”) in audit, advisory and various global senior management roles, including Global Chief Information Officer. Michael also served as CEO of PwC’s Global Services Company where he was responsible for the global sourcing and contracting of technology products and services deployed worldwide.
Michael is currently an independent director of Mundoro Capital Inc., where he serves as the Chair of the Audit Committee and is a member of the Compensation, Nominating & Corporate Governance Committees. He is also an independent director of Tricor Automotive Group Inc. Previously, Michael served 8 years on the Board of the Business Development Bank of Canada as Audit Committee Chair and a member of the Governance, Risk, and Investment Committees. Michael was the past Chair of the British Columbia Chapter of the Canadian Institute of Corporate Directors which fosters excellence in Directors and advocacy of best practices in governance.
Michael holds a Bachelor of Commerce, Accounting & Management Information Systems from University of British Columbia. He is a Fellow Chartered Professional Accountant (FCPA, FCA), a Certified IT Professional (CITP). He is a certified ICD.D graduate of the Institute of Corporate Director’s education Program.
