Hero Metro Transit - Copperleaf Decision Analytics

Value-based Decision-Making at Copenhagen Metro: Driving Outcomes in Rapid Transit

Copenhagen Metro owns and operates the fully automated, driverless 24-hour rapid transit system in Denmark’s capital. As infrastructure assets mature and investment decision-making criteria become more complex, Copenhagen Metro recognised the need to transform their asset investment planning processes to enable a risk-informed, value-based approach to maintaining and expanding the network and support its aim of achieving carbon neutrality by 2025.

At the IAM Global Conference, Jakob Keinicke Sørensen,  Head of Assets and Renewals at Copenhagen Metro, presented how they plan to use decision analytics to streamline their portfolio planning process and develop the highest-value investment strategies aligned with the company’s goals around service availability, customer satisfaction, safety, capacity, and climate footprint.
