We have taken some significant steps forward to ensure our future resilience, not least by the installation of Copperleaf… which utilises a Value Framework that helps us evaluate and optimise priorities across multiple parts of the business, including asset management, Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) and sustainability, finance, information technology and operations.

Portsmouth Water

We have selected only the best value options for both our base and enhancement schemes in AMP8 based on our bottom-up investment appraisal processes (supported by Copperleaf’s Value Framework and optimisation tool) to ensure that we are stretching ourselves to deliver only low regrets, high benefit-to-cost ratio investments.

SES Water

We have used our Copperleaf investment planning optimisation tool to support our investment decisions and ensure that we have selected the optimal investments, balancing ambitious short-term performance improvements with long-term asset health and affordability.

Affinity Water

We have implemented a decision support tool called Copperleaf that enables us to assess costs and benefits to optimise the investments we make… Copperleaf allows us to optimise using constraints (such as required minimum service levels and mandatory investment) to find the best value plan, including delivering the outcomes that customers value as well as wider benefits.

Northumbrian Water

Our ability to test uncertainty and scenario analysis in Copperleaf… has supported strategy reviews and provided maturity in focus and decision making around core and adaptive planning through value analysis linked to risk.
